Shawn Self Grew up in Southern IL where he learned to hunt and fish by following his Dad out into the Marsh at a very young age. After High School Shawn joined the Army for 6 years were he traveled all over the globe as a Military Police Officer. When Shawn returned to a Civilian role he moved back to his home town of Greenville, IL where he got back to his roots by getting out hunting and fishing as much as he could with his family. Shawn has always had a gift for art from a very young age and spent a lot of his drawing outdoor paintings and sketches. 
A few years ago Shawn Started his own graphics design company creating waterfowl graphics for big time call companies to use for apparel and custom duck and goose calls. Some of Shawn's work in those days included creating the tribal goose shown on the Shawn Stahl (SS1 & SS2) goose calls and the tribal superman logo for the Buck Gardners Kryptonite competition duck call. In 2007 Shawn joined up with his brothers and evolved his graphics company to form a new edgy company called Tribal Outdoors Apparel and Graphics where his Tribal Logo's are sold on apparel from hats, to shirts, to hoodies, to even camo apparel. Aside from the apparel side of the business Shawn spends a lot of his time creating custom logo's and graphics for other companies on everything from duck & goose calls, dog trainers, video productions company's, dog kennels, to even other apparel companies. Shawn is known for his big imagination and being able to adapt and create awesome edgy logo's out of the wood work. If you see a company out there with an off the wall flat out awesome logo, chances are Shawn created it!
Shawn has made appearances in a couple hunting DVDs and TV shows, recently on Buck Gardners "Made in the USA" where he is interviewed about his custom Tribal Goose logo. He is also well known in the Midwest as a Professional Dog trainer where he specializes in running Hunt Test around the Illinois area. Shawn has yellow lab Camo (female), chocolate lab Goose (male), and chocolate Lab Pintail (female). In addition he is the Chairman of the Bond County DU Chapter.
