I grew up in NC, lived there all my life. I work for Michael Waltrip Racing on the # 00 car driven by David Ruetimann.I am the Tire Specialist which means I put all the tires we get from Goodyear in sets and make all the air pressure adjustments during the race.
I have a beautiful wife Jennie; we have been together for 11 years. We have a daughter that is 17. Both of my girls are very supportive of my job and my hunting.
I have a very strong passion for hunting and the outdoors. I believe that it our duty as hunters and sportsmen to be good stewards of the land that we were given.
I have been hunting since I was about 10 yrs old, the area of NC I grew up in did not have much wildlife as a kid, so I mostly hunted rabbits and squirrels. As I got older and the wildlife recovered I started hunting deer and turkeys. I got into waterfowl hunting really hardcore about 5 or 6 years ago, my dad use to take me to the coast to hunt with him when I was little, but being a kid I was always whinny and cold( the clothes are a lot better now) so I quit duck hunting till I got older. There is something about calling to a wad of ducks and watching them cup there wings to light into a decoy spread that heats my passion.
Some people think we’re crazy for hunting, getting up real early and going out in the freezing cold just to kill something… but it’s not about the kill, it’s about watching the sun rise and being in touch with nature, and interacting with all of Gods creatures.
