Joel first started waterfowl hunting at the age of 12 on the well known marshes of Missouri.  His passion for waterfowl has grown exponentially through the years.

His time on the calling stage has been brief as he enjoys fooling birds instead of contest judges.  Joel is a former NCAA basketball player and he brings the same work ethic into hunting.  “Waterfowl hunters have to be willing to outwork the next guy to have the advantage.  In some ways it is a competition, just one of many reasons why I love it.”

Joel got his start in the industry as a videographer for Buck Gardner Calls in 2004.  His footage can be seen on Fowl Play 4 and 5.  But now, he is happy with a gun back in his hands instead of a camera. You can find Joel and his black lab, Vader chasing ducks and geese throughout the Mid-west and always representing Tribal Outdoors quality apparel.
