Jeremiah Harston grew up in Bowling Green, Kentucky. His passion for hunting was developed at an early age when his dad would take him quail hunting. Jeremiah's father introduced him to many types of hunting, but primarily they quail hunted over pointers and setters that they trained together. Jeremiah began turkey hunting when he was 14 years old and he has been chasing gobblers up and down the hills of Kentucky ever since. While in law school, a classmate invited Jeremiah on a duck hunt in the Wolf River Bottoms outside of Memphis, Tennessee. It was on this hunt that Jeremiah's obsession for duck hunting began. It was also on this hunt that he came to appreciate the benefits of a well-trained retriever and good calling.

Shortly after that hunt, Jeremiah bought his first retriever, Buckley. Jeremiah began training Buckley and campaigning him in hunt tests and field trials. Buckley started in hunt tests where he attained several titles and passed the UKC-HRC Grand hunt test at 24 months old. Later that year Buckley earned a second place in a Qualifying stake in a field trial, gaining the designation of being Qualified All-Age. Since his start with Buckley, Jeremiah has trained and campaigned several other retrievers, placing in various levels of AKC field trials.

In an effort to pro-long duck season, Jeremiah has recently began competing in duck calling contest. Jeremiah is a self-proclaimed rookie on the contest trail, but he still enjoys the competition and the improvement in his calling abilities that contests provide.

In addition to being actively involved in retriever contests and hunting, Jeremiah also enjoys spending time with his wife, Catherine, and his children, Luke and Jenna. Spending time with family and friends is the reason Jeremiah is drawn to these pursuits and he truly enjoys spending his free time in the company of those who share his passion for hunting and retrievers.
