Alot of people had some good times with my Black Lab "Chase", so I thought I would share some sad sad news - Yesterday, I was working from home and Chase passed away in front of my wife and I. Many of you know she hadn't been doing very well over the last year. I had to retire her from hunting last season because her health really went down hill. She was able to hunt a few times with me, but she just wasn't the same out there though she enjoyed being out. I included a picture of her in her prime on the top of this dedication page. I know she will be missed. Chase lead a great life - hunting all over the United States and even going to Canada twice on hunting adventures. She retrieved thousands of birds and she got to appear in 3 hunting DVD's that thousands of people have watched...quite a legacy! I got Chase when I was a senior in highschool, and she traveled to KC with me, living in my apartment during college (under the radar of course) - and has been spoiled rotten as a house dog/companion ever since. We felt very thankful that we were there with her for her last moments although this has been one of the hardest things we have had to endure. Basel (our yellow lab) is Chase's daughter and is lost without her buddy, so think of her throughout our process of mourning Chase. Chase not only mothered 10 pups, but was also a grandpup of 11.
Chase appeared in Buck Gardners Fowl Play 3, 4, and 5 - she is a well known lab among many households, and she was my best friend. She will be missed dearly.
